Elgon Agriculture

About Elgon Agriculture

A pan-African group building the businesses and infrastructure that connect farmers to markets, processing, technology and opportunity.

Company overview

Elgon Agriculture is a large, ambitious African agriculture and agro-processing group, active across food processing, farmer services, infrastructure, technology and carbon. We are architected to grow into a much larger corporate group without a rebuild.

We were founded on a simple observation: Africa produces a large share of the world's food but captures too little of the value along the way. Elgon closes that gap by building the processing plants, farmer services and logistics that keep more of that value on the continent.

Vision

A future where African agriculture is a globally competitive engine of growth, owned and led from within the continent.

Mission

To build the businesses and infrastructure that connect African farmers to markets, processing, technology and opportunity.

Farmer-first

We design every business around the smallholder farmers at the base of the value chain, not around them.

Built to last

We invest in durable infrastructure and institutions over quick returns, for growth that outlasts any single deal.

Pan-African

We operate across borders by design, moving capital, expertise and technology to wherever the opportunity is.
